NETWORK STRUCTURE

The general EURODEMO network structure consisting of partners, ambassadors and end-users proved very suitable for exchanging information efficiently and for getting a good feeling of end-user needs and remediation situations in Member States. Therefore, the EURODEMO+ Network has again a pan-European network structure, but now consisting of National or Regional Demonstration Platforms together with a EURODEMO+ as a European umbrella.

The National/Regional Demonstration Platforms are composed of national/regional stakeholders who are interested in finding out the principal issues regarding the market barriers of sustainable and cost-efficient remediation technologies in their countries/regions and who want to actively contribute in order to reduce them.

EURODEMO+ is formed of a small group of stakeholders and provides the connection and exchange between the Platforms. Brokering in form of transnational exchange and bilateral contacts may be provided in cases where some countries can learn from others, or countries with similar challenges might join forces for finding solutions.

This structure is a bottom-up approach, in which sustainable remediation technologies and sustainable remediation practice shall be endorsed on national/regional levels, with an overall benefit for Europe.
