NATIONAL INFORMATION

This section summarizes national information available on soil and groundwater remediation.

Therefore, this section contains

  • links to national information sources for contaminated land management,
  • available information on innovative remediation technology applications, and
  • follow-up activities to disseminate EURODEMO results on a national level.

Austria

 Register of contaminated sites and remediated contaminated sites (in German), operated by the Austrian Federal Environment Agency.

Czech Republic

 SESEZ - The database of past environmental damages (in Czech), operated by the Czech Ministry of Environment .
DEKONTA has compiled information on "innovative" remediation applications, supported by 2 other Czech service providers (see file list).

Finland

 MUTKU, the Finnish Society for Soil Investigation and Remediation was established in the summer of 2001 to enhance the exchange and spreading of information concerning the clean-up of contaminated areas. The aim of the new society is to develop and advance the operation and practices in Finland and to enhance the dialogue concerning contaminated areas. The society also wants to increase the professional skills of people working in this sector, to be a link between people and societies working with tasks related to this field, and to inform outsiders about matters concerning contaminated areas.

France

BRGM has initiated a "Groupe Miroir Francaise" of EURODEMO: meeting June 2nd, 2006 (see file list).

Germany

The University of Lüneburg is involved in the German project RUBIN, where an  overview on German PRB sites can be found
 TERESA 3.0 - the technology register for remediation of contaminated sites (in German), operated by the ITVA.
 RefAS - a public database containing more than 1000 remediation projects undertaken in Germany between 1988 and 1998. Hostet by LUBW Landesanstalt für Umwelt, Messungen und Naturschutz Baden-Württemberg (please navigate to DV-Programme, RefAS).

Hungary

 MOKKA - Innovative Decision Support Tools for Risk Based Environmental Management - a Hungarian project addressing topics of eurodemo in a national context, initiated by Budapest University of Technology and Economics.

Poland

IETU has made a  polish version of the EURODEMO website

The Netherlands

TNO and SKB have compiled a summary of  technology descriptions and NL technology providers for innovative in-situ soil and groundwater remediation methods.

United Kingdom

CL:AIRE provides information on  technology demonstration projects in the UK.
