Austrian Technology Platform preparing an overview and classifications of in-situ technologies

The Austrian chapter of EURODEMO+ is established as working Group “Technology Platform” of the  Austrian Association for Contaminated Sites Management (AACSM). In preparing a “Quickscan” regarding in-situ remediation technologies the responsible expert panel adopted the specific chapter classifying the development of a variety of in-situ technologies by December 2009. This part of the report was published in January 2010 (see Project Information (2)) and supports research focus lines defined for the period 2010 to 2012. The full report providing an overview on in-situ technologies available and under development shall be published by June 2010 (in German). Considering future remediation needs in Austria selected technologies will be recommended for

  • being available and having increased market potential,
  • further development through demonstration projects and
  • having research and development needs as well as possible future market potentials.
